Osteopathy has been on my radar since my first year of massage therapy school.  I graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto and passed the OSCE exams administered by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 2005.  I continued to study, taking yoga teacher training and courses on myofascia, nerve disorders, lymphedema, post-operative and palliative care.

After 10 years of practice, I took the plunge and applied to the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy to begin the next leg of my exploration of “the human machine”.  With pride, I was part of the graduating class of 2019.  I attend a variety of Osteopathic conferences, including the International Osteopathic Conference and the International Congress of Fascia, in Berlin.  I have a goal of participating in further study of anatomy with leading experts in the realm of dissection, particularly in regards to the study of myofascia.

Treating people is a joy.  Alleviating pain, supporting the return to activities, bringing independence back to patients who have suffered:  these are the foundational pillars of my career, both as a Registered Massage Therapist, and now as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.  I am a member in good standing with the CMTO, RMTAO and the OOA.

It is my personal goal to offer the best level of care and consideration to each patient.  Through active listening, careful reflection, assessment, treatment plan development and practical delivery in a caring environment, it is my belief and experience that this goal will be achieved.

Clients are encouraged to participate in their treatment.  Feeling comfortable and confident in letting me know what is happening in your body is helpful and appropriate, and further develops a rapport based on trust, understanding and communication.

Your feedback is key to receiving the treatment you deserve!

When I’m not in the clinic or attending a conference, I love being up north, kayaking, supporting local artists and making things with my hands:  art, music, and food to share with friends.
